This website looks to be an amazing resource. Many thanks for allowing me to join.

I am one of the authors of the recent book about the Polerouter and I would be extremely grateful if the Bulova experts could help me solve a question about a type of bezel occasionally seen on the Polerouter Sub models.

I did a little research and figured out what each letter of the Bulova movement numbers mean. This may be written down somewhere but I’ve never seen it.

This applies to mechanical movements only.

After the first 2 letters, every letter after that has a specific meaning.

A = Automatic
B = Day-Date
C = Sweep seconds
D = Calender (date)
F = No seconds hand
L = No seconds hand
H = Hack
R = Alarm
S = Glycidur balance
U = Jump Hour

Hello I’m looking at purchasing a what I think is a late 1940 ish watch. But the back has no serial numbers and the date code is T2.  I’m lost on this one. Any help would be appreciated. I do have the add photos but not sure about adding them.

Looking for a case ring MR556 I think for a case nbr 827. Bulova Sea King 11ANAC N0

Have tried eBay but no luck. As an alternative I’d be interested in a case and caseback and ring that would fit this movement and dial.

Thanks
