In discussion to buy this bad boy with a really nice textured silver dial. Trying to identify if it's a Sea King. And if so, what variant? I'm not sure if other Bulova models carried the "Waterproof" writing on the dial. I know there were a couple of other water resistant models (Surf King). Aside from identifying it, any other info from expert eyes would be appreciated -- does anything look off, or draw your attention?
It looks like the movement is stamped L9 (1959) and the case is stamped M0 (1960).

Thanks for noticing.
If I'm not mistaken, isn't it fairly typical to have a movement stamped a year earlier than the case, meaning the movement was manufactured one year before the watch was put together. Or would you take that as a sign that replaced components?
It looks correct. 'SURF KING', 'STORM KING' have a different case design.
Sea King would appear correct. I am not sure of the variant.
The dial and hands are a match from the Sea King "CW". The case is not the same.
If you look at the hands on the subject watch you can still see the remnants of white lume that covers half the hands. The below linebook image for the "CW" shows the same.
I'm of the same opinion as Ken and believe the subject watch is also from the Sea King family.

Thx for the info. Does the case look like it's not original on the watch I submitted?
1960 Sea King = variant currently unknown
