It has a US Zone Germany Runs, keeps time, only the band has been replaced.
In 1957 this one could be the Sea King model; 1957 ad here.
Hi Chris, welcome to myBulova. These "US Zone" marked watches fascinate me. The 'occupation' officially ended in May 1955 yet we see these markings showing up later as in the example you've brought. I agree with Ken (Andersok) that the watch is quite a bit like the Sea King model he links to although the lugs seem to be different. The dial and hand appear to be a match.
I'm tentative on the ID but would go along with Sea King
One other possibility is the Surfmaster, though these do not show up in ads or in the pricelists until 1959. The lugs do appear more similar to the subject watch. I am still leaning more with the Sea King id for '57.
I've seen three more of these on the 'Bay in recent months.
Tentative Sea King.
Tentative Sea King for me
I am good with tenative Sea King.
Thank you all for making part of this group. I will add more of my Bulovas.
Confirming model from 1957 Linebook BAWD0132
