Crown for 1956 President B

Submitted by Deafboy on

I have a 1956 President (a black dial "B"). The crown is quite tired though and would like to replace it. Would someone have the reference number for this crown?

Here's a picture of the crown I'm searching.

The movement is a 11AC...

Inside the Case within a rectangle will be a 4 digit #.

If You can provide the Case number the correct Crown can be referenced.

I looked inside the caseback and the inside of the bezel. The only markings I see are what appears to be hand-scribed roman numerals of the case serial number (IV - II - IV). Curiously the case number ends with 425, not 424. Both the case and crown are quite worn.

I forgot to mention there are also several watchmakers markings inside the caseback, but I assume you meant a stamped number.

Correct, unfortunately there isn't one.

take a look at Crown # 1012.

Someone else may be able to give a more definitive answer.

That's awesome! Thanks.

One more question. The acrylic crystal seems quite thick (e.g. high dome). I wonder if this is the correct profile for this watch. It seems to me a dress watch would have a shallower profile. OTOH, it may be just the style of the era to have such a profile.

What do you think?

No, that Crystal is not the original style a low dome profile would be more consistent
