Watch Description

This one is a 1929 ladies Bulova with a 15 jewel 6AF movement in a 14k gold filled case with the dust cover still intact and running strong. I think it's the Dauphine and when I saw it I knew I had to have it. My very first car was a Dauphine. A Renault Dauphine with the 2 tone horn. I had it 3 weeks and rolled it end over end 3 times on a straight section of highway. My younger brother and my girlfriend were with me. It threw my girlfriend out of the car and knocked my brother unconscience. We were on our way home from high school. It landed on it's wheels with all 4 doors open and the top bashed in. None of the doors would close, but it cranked back up and I drove it home before the cops showed up and hid it. Those were fun times.

I know better than to disagree with ALEX  -  1929 Bulova Dauphine (and that Renault was a horrible little thing, in the day I worked in a garage and we serviced a couple). Terrible they were! haha - not that the MGBs were any better.....I drove a FIAT 850 SPYDER.

Ahhh yes. The Fiat Spyder. They came with factory installed rust as did the Alpha Romeo. And the MGB's. You had to park them on a hill so you could let them roll off to crank them. The Lucas electronics didn't seem to won't to keep the battery charged enough to crank them.

I had a Fiat 131 Mirafiori. Little 4 door that handled like a sports car...

That dial is pretty sweet. Can't say I've seen one before in either this condition or combination style. Similar to the Miss Liberty (and probably a few other models) where the wire lugs are wider than shown in the advert. There is probably another version that has the wire lugs on the ends and not from the sides as shown on this watch.

Perhaps this difference is explained by the style and type of silk strap / expansion filigree bracelet (see advert above) that came with the watch.

There's a 1927 and a 1930 model already posted on the site and both of those have lugs like this one.

It makes sense that the examples with the outer wire lugs probably had a silk strap, which as many of us know can be fragile and probably didn't last very long. You'll note that the examples we have all seem to have a more modern mount as a relplacement.

So we have the outer wire (side) version: with silk strap:

Silk strap - Bulova Dauphine

and the inner wire (end) version with Filigree bracelet:
