This is a recent acquistion from ebay. It appears to be a 1939 Ambassador with the etched bezel. It has the original bracelet and is in excellent condition. It has a 10AE movement with the sheild date code. It is 10KT yellow gold filled with a ivory dial with raised cold hour markers. The watch was advertised for repair and it only needed a new mainspring which I had. It is now running quite well. My favorite part is the engraving on the back. Mother to Paul 1939.
Here is the ad from the Ad Forum

Yes it looks like an Ambassador to me too. Very nice with the original band and great you got it running!

Well that is interesting and the watch next to it in the ad says gold filled. I am not sure to be honest. Maybe one of the other members will know.
Overall good condition, and I agree with Jim, I very much appreciate the personalized engravings on these old watches. It's all about the history.
1939 Bulova Ambassador for me.
