Unknown year and model inherited from grandparents with engraved date of Jan 1960. Looking for a new caseback as the current one is mangled.

That is a great keepsake from your grandfather. Do you have the back? It should have a date code on it like L9 or M0. That will help us accurately date it. The model is

Bulova 23 "BAW"

I do have the back. Best I can see it has an "L9" and an "E" but it's so faint I can't get it on camera.  Is the dial unique? I haven't been able to find another picture of a similar one.
