Guys, take a lookon the link above at Waynes 1939 Ambassador C and one I had....on first glance they look the same but then look closer and you'll see the lugs are different, the curve/"fatness" are different. one has a 7AP 21j the other has a 10 calibre 21j?
Is one not an Ambassador?
Don't know this watch... very cool looking rose gold case with a matching rose gold bracelet.
At first I thought it was somewhat like the surgeon/blackhawk case as it's around the same size and square but this dial is extremely flat with no convex at all.
Don't know if that '45 stamp is factory but it's very close... if it's hand stamped it was done really well.

Hi, wonder if any you guys can help me. I have a ladies bulova cocktail watch from 1924. It was working perfectly until the other day when it suddenly stopped. I took it to a very well know and reputable jewellers who fell in love with it. Anyway, what i wanted to ask is can anyone give me anymore information re- this being the first introduction of ladies watches by the Bulova company?
I have recently become a owner of a Bulova watch and am unsure of its name or value. I have been searching and can not find the model of it or any pictures of it except one like this. There are minor differences, mine is gold and with a gold band, i am almost certain the band is a bulova but not correct for the watch.
movement is stamped 10ax 17 jewel usa bulova watch co and what looks like a pick symbol case is stamped 2156696 but movement has no number sorry no pics
1936 Bulova "Phantom" 17J 6AE movement, Unrestored dial with Raised Gold Markers & Gold hands. No Sub-Seconds provision on this one. 10K Gold Filled Bezel and back, "Made in Hong Kong" marked band. Not much to look at now, in the restoration drawer.* Ad picture added 11-13-11
Salmon exlosion dial, correct thin style hands, great looking rose gold "senator" type step lugs. Not to shabby for a fixer upper.
1952 Bulova "Standish" as ID'd through the 1960 GS Catalog. 17J 10BM movement, Satin White dial with Raised Gold Markers and hands. 10K RGP Engraved Bezel, Stainless back. New WC Cut Corner Thick Glass Crystal, Nice Kreisler GF adjustable Bracelet Band. 5X signed The Dial shows shows some age spotting, but not to bad, Keeps good time and makes a nice dress watch.
1951 Bulova "Surgeon" 10BCC 17J movement dated L1. Black dial with gold center seconds track , luminous markers, Gold Hour and Minute hands & Red Sweep second hand. 10K RGP Bezel ,Stainless back dated L1. New Thick Glass fitted Crystal, Black Leather Alligator Calf band. 5X Signed I think the hands are supposed to have a luminous filling to them, and the markers could be touched up. Nice looking and running watch sure to make Plainsman drool! ;)
