Has anyone ever had a Case re-plated professionally?
I was just wondering if anyone has had a case replated professionally anywhere, if so what is a ballpark figure on cost and where can it be done?

The 1974 Accutron Woody....
This little beauty is 10 RGP bezel, 17 jewel 1966 Diamond dream. It is in overall good working condition and keeps good time. The jeweler I took it to said the crystal was in good condition & did not need to be changed & it ran well & didn't need any servicing. It has a replacement Speidel flex band.
Just joined this forum. I have a clean, running Bulova, tonneau shape, white dial with gold arabic numerals, sub second hand. Looks like a Stamford from photos on this forum. When I had the watch cleaned, noted an omega code on movement (1940?) Case has no filigree but is stepped. Lugs are plain. Might also be an Ambassador. Case back number does not match any on this site. Sorry no pic available now. Do either of these models sound correct? Sorry no pic now
Here is a item I purchased from a Jewlers estate that had been in storage for many years.
After opening it I found that it was like Christmas... many items to unwrap

I realize some purists probably won't dig this question but.... a "to Ralph from Mother '42"... I guess I don't know that it's enough of a character adder for me to want to keep it for my own collection pieces.
Is it expensive to fill/buff or even feasible? What would something like that run?.... I suppose it depends on how deep and what metals?
Case PAT.JUN.10.1924 14K Gold Fil . This watch was mistakenly thought to be a Templar.
Can anyone give me some guidance for cleaning a watch dial and hands? I've searched the internet, and some of the cleaning methods seem kind of extreme for a vintage watch. Thank you.
