Where to send for service

Is there a list of people that can do a service/repair of a non-running Accutron? I have put it in "Find my Watch" but no dertimation yet.  It does say "N7" on the caseback which I understand dates it to 1975.   I know there's no way of knowing what it will cost but what is a range?  And are there common things that go wrong with these?  Thanks!

I have a nice Bulova watch maybe an Ambassador and I am looking for a crystal for it.  I took measurements and they are as follows (mm)

Greatest possible 23.6 x 21.7

Measured from the corners 21.8 x 17.7

I scoured the GS catalog and cannot find an exact match.  Any help or advice would be welcomed.

HI there, I have recently bought a large collection of vintage Bulovas - Spaceviews, Astronauts, thr Doctor's Pulsation model etc. About 60 watches in all. Most are in superb condition and working well. However a handful have some small issues. Can members recommend anyone who can repair tuning fork Bulovas? Please help!

Astronaut repair question.

Good evening.  I am new to the forum - This is my second attempt to post so sorry if the previous one shows up as a duplicate.  I just purchased what I was told was a non running astronaut M4.  Had a dead battery which leaked.  I have ordered a new battery for it.  I opened the case and cleaned out most of the debris from the battery compartment.  There is however a small piece of something lying between the base of the battery post (the one with the  yellow wire attached to it) and extending behind the green plastic wall of the battery compartment.

Recently acquired a 1952 Bulova "Hayward" that has issues

Hi everyone,

I recently bought a 1952 Bulova "Hayward." I was super drawn to the look of the watch, even though it has more patina to the dial that I like AND it has a big issue. Corrosion on the back. To the point where let's just say that it's "ventilated."

My question is related to this. Do I need to find an exact replica of another "Hayward" back OR can I source out another Bulova back as long as the size of it is correct?

Hey all,

Accutron 214 and 218 Movements need battery replacement every 12-14 months under normal operating conditions. This should be done by a Watchmaker or your local Jeweler but many of you wish to do it yourselves so here are my instructions:

A Wearable Watchmaker's Loupe will be needed for both Accutron Model Battery Replacements

Refinishing watch face/dial of Bulova watch and new crystal questions.

Hello there. I am a relative newbie and hope you can offer some input on the subject questions.

First, I read the instructions for uploading pictures but there doesn't appear to be an icon like the one in the instructions or any icon or menu to “Open File Browse” button as the instructions indicate. If someone can assist me I can include better pictures of the watch face with and without crystal than are on my listing for MyBulova. Thanks!

Here are my questions:

5BD "sealed jewel" movement?

Hi All,

I have a fair number of Bulova and other movements which I have taken apart, cleaned and reassembled over the past 2-3 years. Many of them have been ladies movements such as the 1974 5BD 23 jewel movement below; however, I have never come across what seem to be jewels without the jewel "oil sump" accessible - it looks almost as if they are "sealed" .

That can't possibly be right, can it? If it isn't possible, how does one go about oiling the jewels and pivots properly?

**Please excuse the dirt as these were taken prior to cleaning.
