Unique dial design.
I feel this may open up a can of worms as to model names. Check out this "Ambassador C" below that also dates 1939 but has the 7AP 21j movement rather than the round 10 calibre your shows. Also take a look at the lugs, they seem longer on the model below with less depth to the ends too....could it be that one is not the Ambassador C but goes by another name. I did have an ambassador A and put beside this and the lugs were longer and case ever so slightly different. The one like yours is slightly fatter and chunkier looking....yet the advert below looks closer to this watch than yours. I'm confused!
