I found this NOS with tag (or unused) Sterling Silver watch from Italy and it was a match to one of the unknowns I had so I had to get it. It is a 925 Sterling Silver case. The dial is black with roman numeral hour markers. The movement is a 6CL and is 17J but I could not find a date code. I am basing this at 1976 based on my other silver watch having a close serial number also beginning with four. Most likely an International model. 1976 Unknown. I included a side by side comparison photo with my other watch.

I come up empty on this one. Case markings and lack of an import code on movement do seem to indicate production outside the US. I wonder if "Argent" on the tag is watch name, or refers to something else?
Unknown for now.

Argent means Silver.
Nice find; good looking watch. I would agree it is a non-USA model.
Unknown for now.
Agree - 1976 Bulova Unknown
I can see why you had to buy it Jim. They make a nice pair.
How did you determine the year of the other example?

My other watch had an N6 date code on the movement and the serial numbers both 4-1.....date by association.
