NASA aerospace panel mount, Acutron 24 hour dial, (4) pin electrical connectors, (2) w/ green insulators on r/h (6 o'clock) side and (2) w/ red insulators on bottom (12 o'clock) side. Numbers on back of case are "J68613 M3". Sticker reads : "CAUTION contact rating 30 vdc - 10ma non indutcive" Have not opened it up to look inside.
I'm seeking any info on this timepiece. What NASA program this was designed for? What the electrical contacts trigger? At what timing intervals do the contatcs switch? What do they swiitch?
Hi dadsbulova, welcome to myBulova. I've seen several of these over the years but really don't know how they were used. My assumption is more likely aircraft usage than space, although space would be WAY cooler. The contacts suggest that somehow the device recorded the time of an event (or events) that occurred during the mission.
In regards to ID I suggest "Accutron Clock" or "Accutron Panel Clock".
