I purchased this watch as is missing a crown and said not working. I got a battery from the local jewer but is was opened and I do not think it was new. However the watch is running slow and the day/date is not changing and the hands sometimes stop at the 1/2 past Mainly). I bought a new accutron stem and it seems to stick out to far, as if it the problem with the day day not changing .
I would appreciate any suggestions on whats wrong, I am able to fix it if it is not extremly complicated. Thank You in advance.

I checked the battery with a colt meter, even the one I replaced it with and the voltage is correct. I think I will just throw it in the drawer for now or ebay it as is. I am kinda thinking I was mislead when buying it, It said not working crown is missing. I am starting to think the crown was removed to give the impression that was all that was wrong with it. It seems there is a lot wrong with it and it has had problems for a while and I was taken by the seller. Thank You.
I have just noticed some damage to a couple of bridge screws, I never touched anything but the battery. Tells me the seller knew very well it had some serious problems. I am going to see if I can send it back.
