Just bought from the bay, I think this is a genuine specimen. What do you think? Not pictured is the dust cover
A very nice example of a Military issue watch. Looks good to me. 1961 Bulova Military Issue MIL-W-3818A I should note it looks like you have a bad hairspring. Based on it not being cocentric I suspect it does not run properly. You can find replacement government surplus complete balances on ebay often.
I agree - 1961 Bulova Military Issue W-3818A
No, it is currently not running properly, but I have yet to demagnetise and service it.
I have a saved search for a replacement balance, JIC.

Impossible to find, unfortunately.
However, there is a semi-complete movement currently up for grabs dated M2. Pricey but the only game in town.
a correct 3818-A it is.

FifthAve, I appreciate your looking. I gave that baby on my watchlist, in case I need to swoop it up.
I hope I don't, because it is indeed quite pricey.

always looking for 10BNCH parts, they're quite scarce.
I have 2 movements: an L6 and an L7 17 Jewel (Type A17A) both missing the balance.
The interchange is the 10CNCH, but those are rarer than the 10BNCH.
I hope it just needs a cleaning and demag.
This is listed incorrectly as a Military Issue 3138A. This is a 3818A.
