It looks nice except for the second hand I believe as it seems like missing the tail. Any thoughts?

Thanks! But the second hand's tail seems missing / broken, do you think so? I am not sure about that though.

Yes, I would agree the second hand tail is missing. It probably was broken off and lost when the watch was disassembled in the past for a service. No biggie.

Welcome to myBulova and thank you for adding your watch!  It is a very nice example.  These are very collectible so it would not surprise me if someone had it replated at some point.  This is just personal preference and not a big deal imo.

Yes I believe replated it can stop the rust on watch since it is an old watch.
Just the broken second hand a little bit bothering me haha.

Some of these were plated base metal, some stainless steel. This is pretty shiny for stainless, so it is possible it has been replated. I've also seen stainless models highly polished as well.

The case back will be stainless in all cases. 

Is there any lume or lume residue on the numbers? It looks entirely un-lumed except for the hands. I've seen quite a few like this, the dials almost have the appearance of being unfinished.
