Hello, In collecting ladies Academy Award models the "B" was a must have for me. One of my favorites of the 1950s and AA line. I love the very distinct case and the gold curtain dial. I have picked up several 2nd watches of models I like recently and this is one I will do that with if one comes along.
It has a 10K gold filled case, date stamp L0. A little wear on the high points but not too bad. A 6BC 21 jewel working movement, date stamped A9. The gold curtain dial is in nice condition.

Thank you Bob!
You had me at that dial :-)
Well done Kathy! Any plans of finding the case...now that would set this watch off just perfectly.

Wow I just did a quick ebay search for AA cases and found that someone thinks one of these (just the case) is worth $2,750 !!!!

Haha yes that has been on there for months!! I have two cases so far, neither in great condition so I still hope to pick up a nice one someday. It won't be that one ; )
