I believe this to be a 1938 Lady Bulova C in 10k gold rolled plate. The attached ad shows both a Lady Bulova B and a C, the C has engraving while the B does not. There is also an additional 1938 ad in the MyBulova ad archive which shows the model C with engraving. On a Bellavance strap. Recent acquisition, so unknown history. Some wear to plating on four corners of engraving but dial is in excellent shape.
Inside case back is miniscule hand engraved numbers of "M17356" and even fainter "243 (lambda)" as well as "Bulova Fifth Ave New York". - Case back Top: 10K Rolled - Gold Plate - Bulova (shield icon) - Case Back Bottom: 8437515. It's a charming little watch. She will be getting the new watch spa treatment soon!
