Here is an interesting one. My best guess is 1942 Commodore, although the face is a finish undocumented for the model. It appears this case style Commodore was marketed in at least 3 different variants based on band style. Referenced ad dated 1941.
The dial on subject watch is quite stunning, if it's a re-dial, it's one of the best I have ever seen and lacking a locator notch. It is literally perfect in finish, color/line allignment and a perfect match to the bezel opening.
Lots of jeweler marks inside and keeping near perfect time.
Whatzit?
1942 Bulova Commodore, dial is probably really re-dial
What a gorgeous watch! I didn't find any ads with this dial but I love it.
1942 Bulova Commadore
Looking at the case bezel outline markings on the dials I'd say it original and if not the redial would have been done a long time ago. My guess is that's it's original, so either an unknown model, an unknown variant of the Commodore or a mix match of parts.
I'd be tentative on a 1942 Bulova Commodore.
I agree, tentative on Commodore. Sharp looking watch
