Do we call this one a 1946 based on movement code (square) or year end production 1945 based on case s/n?
Franklin "A". Replaced the horribly scratched glass with an acrylic and hand polished the case and band. Face was amazingly nice under the damaged crystal. Running but seems to gain about 4 minutes an hour. Hopefully a service or de-mag will correct it.
Looks great with the replaced crystal! Nice one!

Nice work on the Franklin 'A'; I'd say 1946. Which crystal model/# did you end up using?

Thanks, Ken. I have about 500 unidentified crystals separated by shape. I sat on the couch with a digital caliper and found one within tolerance and shaved it to press/compression fit with a pen knife.. So, the answer to your question is ....yes.

I understand. I have a stash of unknown crystals also that I've been fortunate on occasion to find a match amongst.
