My favorite type of dial.... The black/grey/white explosion dial!  I've always loved this watch.  One of my favorites to look at.  I believe we have a Bulova "Webster" Sporting a new PMT349-25 flexo crystal.

This appears to be a 1938 Bulova Ambassador "C".  First time I've seen this model for 1938.   The case and case back are yellow gold with an engraving "To Charlie From Alphod". First time I heard of the name Alphod, very unusual.    The movement is a 7AH 17 jewel with a crescent moon date code.  The dial is back and gray with white hands.  It has a replacement stretch bracelet.  It needed a main spring, crystal and a complete service.  Running and looking great.  I've wanted one of these for a while.  

This appears to be a 1956 Webster.   It is a yellow gold plated case with a stainless steel back and L6 Date code.   The dial is silver with applied yellow even hour markers spaced by large V shaped odd hour markers.  The is a little bit of damage on the dial in the upper left corner.  The movement is an 11AC with an L6 date code and it has a replaced gear but hey it works.  

This one was a first see for me. Case design is more architectural than most with the sides of top case almost mimicking building columns. Casing paired with the interesting dial markers and 17 jewel movement says 1959 Webster.  Movement and case back dated L9. Yellow gold plate case with stainless back.

As received on a period Bulova stamped leather band. Running and keeping time.

I am a newbie to the hobby of watch repair, and a newbie in this forum.  I don't find this watch elsewhere on this site.  My wife found this watch at a Goodwill sale.  I've cleaned it and got it running again.  The band, obviously, is not original.  I replaced the cracked crystal, and gently cleaned the dial.  The sub second hand is missing.  Can one of you experts please advise me what size sub second hand I need for this and where to find it?  What style of sub second hand would complete this watch appropriately?
