Mark,

I just revised the 1940- 2 version of the "Physician." Did you by chance narrowly outbid me?!

I just picked up a Bulova  Physicisns watch exactly the same as tryouts in the photos.iwas able to identify the model by comming back to this site and doing a little searching. I would like to replace the crown and was wondering if yours is original and came without the Bulova marking or replaced later time ? Also because this movement is not as common as other Bulova movements  do you know which other movements would have a similar crown that would work on the 7 ac movement . Nice watch !! Best Regards, Rd

imo the Crown is not original to the Watch. The 7AC is not listed in the 1953 parts interchange catalog but Crown #102 would be a good bet.

Nice snipe Mark!

I put in a last seconds bid and fell way short of the final amount. I think most of the marks are on the crystal and not the dial, it should clean up nice plus it is still running! Now to find a ad and name it.

LOL,

I saw it with about 5 min. left, til auction end... Mike Holben could get $500.00 for it... so I suspect it's either a KEEPER, or at least a $295.US resale???

Figures... the only snipe I missed...

Scott,

Keeper undoubtably, but will consider Your $295 offer?

Sir Mark,

I'm not that wealthy just yet... Maybe by 2012???

And on a side note (?) did you also score the Gladiator on auction, 1- 2 days ago? (A remarkably similar case, me thinkst?)   SEE:  http://www.mybulova.com/watches/1933-Gladiator-279

Hmmm... better denote the correct movements, eh? And I presume the Physician case is a (more moderne) snap back detachable ensemble?? (Or watch out for REdials, on eBay!?!)

:-)  Scott
