I've been sitting on this watch for a few years. It used to be my Great uncle's and after it came into my hands i never gave it much thought. After just recently getting into the show "Pawn Stars" and marathoning through the episodes on Netflix it rekindled my curiosity to find out what this watch is. My research led me to this site and that the watch is a 1970 Chronograph C with its original band. I would love to know if it is in good condition, how rare it is. and how much it might cost to get it cleaned up. It does run I'm just looking to get it cleaned and serviced. The metal band doesn't snap shut but it doesn't appear to be broken either so I'm gunna take that to the Jeweler to see if they can fix it. Thanks for making this site available!

Looks like you got the model right. I always like the "stars and stripes" nic name.
Great watch.
Stunning, very sought after watch Sam. Looks to be in very good condition but would be better after servicing, check the database for people to PM for this work if you have no one in mind.
Nice very nice and well worth every penny to get serviced.
This and a Lone Eagle 5000 are my daily wears.
It's great to see another shining example of the Chrono "C"...original band as well, something I'm still striving to find :-)
Pawn Stars is one of my favourate shows to watch....did they feature this watch on the show?

It wasn't featured but the show sparked my curiosity to figure out what it was. I'm looking forward to getting it fixed up!
Now you're just bragging Stephen! You can't wear them both at the same time, so how about a "time share" with me hmm?
I don't know, just like buses, you don't see one for ages then two come at once! : )

Time share watches.... Now there's a thought.
Yep, I like that phrase too! It's got a good "ring" to it.
GREAT watch Sam.
I wonder if when you get it serviced you could get some pics of the movement? Your's makes 5 Chrono C's in the db and there are no shots of the movement.
Does anyone know what the Bulova model # of the movement is? Thanks.
Darren
VAL 7736 is movement number. Great looking watch.
