Overall the watch is very clean.
Case, dial and hands very good.
Balance good but it won't wind, it turns but just clicks...Hands set just fine.
Movement looks to be a Valjoux 71.
That is a sweet watch Jim . 1941 Chronometer is my vote. I like that one a lot.

Chronograph is what I really meant to say (yes, I know the difference).
Jim,
Judging by the symptom described the Watch needs a Mainspring.
The Case seriel number would indicate a production Date of 1942.
"CHRONOGRAPH'
13AH would be a Valjoux 72, based on their own cal. 23. Excellent find!
Chronograph for sure and a beauty if I may say so.
I have a main spring for it,
JP
Judging from the position of the minute recording hand ( the little dial on the right) and the picture of the inner works the minute-recording jumper is not doing its job. It may need bending slightly towards the minute-recording cog to stop the hand and keep it in an upright position. Care must be taken as the spring is exremely thin and fragile.
Lovely watch with a great movement.
I've changed my mind about selling this watch, it is now for sale but I don't know where or how.
I edited the description but it didn't take and I made my donation and looked in the "For Sale" section but it doesn't appear to be there. I'd like to offer it to members first before listing it on an Auction site.
Feel free to contact me, Thanks Jim
