This is my latest unicorn pick up, It is a super rare single button chronograph from 1944. The case is 10kt yellow gold plate on Sterling silver. The movement is a 10BK with an + date code which has the push button at 2pm instead of the crown like the 10AH. The dial is a very unusual military style with radium arabic numbers and a telemeter scale. The hands are military style hands and I believe original to the watch as is the dial. I have yet to find another example of this dial configuration. There are several online and one in the database with a different dial but this one clearly has a military purpose. Based on the serial number beginning with a 4 I am dating this to 1944 with a 1943 movement. it is not currently running but looks complete and I will work on shortly. It is on a period leather Bund strap that came with the watch and the watch was purchased from England.

Very cool! I wondered if you got this one! I would guess this one falls in the "hen's teeth" category.
1944 Chronograph - generic for now
The band is great as well! There is a good discussion here (same movement, different dial configuration) about this unusual style chrono.

Yeah I saw it on eBay and really wanted it. I sent him an offer and surprisingly he accepted. He listed another one with the push crown at a significantly higher price. That one I think is a redial . That really surprised me because this is a much more rare model.
