My father gave me this watch about 25+ years ago. I have never seen it working - took it to 2 different specialists over the years, got charged several hundred and still it's not working. Does it have a battery, this model, or is it a wind-up (which is why I've not seen it working)?

Hi again Geoff, happy new year. Over the past few months I was considering Bulova’s offer of trade-in for 50% off any new watch in the current lineup, vs keeping this as-is (non functional) and neither option strikes me as “logical”. I’d like to revisit your offer of assistance: can you please resend your email with suggestions? Seeing how there’s no Canadian outfit equipped to repair this watch, sending it your way is the last viable chance of seeing the watch functional again.
