I hope I have entered all the data correctly (date, case number, etc.)

Kind regards

My thoughts are that this is an International model (not sold in the USA), based on the leading 1- in the serial number and the lack of an import code on the 1966 movement, as well as it states International on the caseback.

I've checked through or international catalogs and I am unable to find a model match. Quite a stunning watch with the 18K case.

Magnificent watch. There are currently 3 if this model (variants) with same dial but plated cases that we have categorized as "Chronograph" generic. They are dated 1965 and 1967. Seen HERE. Like your solid gold model, their s/n's start with a     "1 -". I agree that based on case markings, this was likely a product of Switzerland for the non-US market. I'm going to say this is an uncommon one, congrats!

1966 Chronograph.

Thank you very much for the information provided. Can you tell me the name of the model, if it exists, and what type of movement it uses?

The model is a mystery, as we don;t have any references to it. It was likely not named, just a number. The chrome version ad is pictured in the 1967 posting for Chronograph. Movement is a 13??. I can't make out the following 2 letters in the photo. It is under Bulova Watch Co. text in a rectangle.

The movement is 13EA

Stunning watch and in 18KT gold to boot.   I agree an international market item.  I check the INTL ad listing in the forum and do not see an ID.   1966 Bulova Chronograph gets my vote.  I am not sure if we want to be distinguished it as an INTL model like 1966 Bulova International Chronograph.

You make a good point Jim. The s/n indicates an International model and it clearly is a Chronograph. We have three similar watches in the dB listed as "Chronograph". I think we should update them all. I prefer to list them as Chronograph with the variant "International" as that will make them easier to find when searching for chronographs.
