I don't see a model like this in the database.  Going through the loose ads I did find Jim found an ad in 2019 for the 1946 "American Clipper".  It's 17 Jewel like this model.

By the late 40's they pretty much fell away from the serial number matching the year within the decade.  They started doing the the date code ... A7, A8, A9 etc... then L0 in the 50's
