Watch Description

1976 Oceanographer, based on the dial text and case code.  I may have missed it, but I have not seen one like this on the site.  Large oval, gold color case that is about 35.1mm across not including the crown.  Round dial that trends from orange to brown in color depending on how the light hits it. The dial also has a sort of wave-style texture pattern which runs left to right.  Raised linear indices that are gold with a white stripe in the center, then hands that are white with gold inserts.  Date window at 3 oclock position.  Signed crown.  N6 code on caseback along with a nice inscription dated 1976.  I did not see a date code on the movement.  Working well and is keeping decent time.   Love the dial on this one.

As always, thanks for looking and for any info

1976 is correct. Wow that dial. I think this is a first time seeing it if it's original.

Found a silver dial version with model reference #12443Y

I'm curious if this might be a redial.

1976 Bulova Oceanographer would be the base IS.

Agree - great dial, and I am unable to find an exact model number, so Oceanographer for now.

Agree - 1976 Bulova Oceanographer - leaning slightly toward a redial
