recently aquired from an antique wharehouse for a very reasonable amount. Case and crystal are in ok shape. Case back and movement are stamped M8.
the overall condition of the watch is pretty fantastic. Any info would be appreciated so that I would be able to find parts to fix its loose movement. Naturally it would also be nice just to know which model I'm wearing on my wrist!
Thank you,
kyle
Cool, looks like the Oceanographer "B". Very nice watch, you can even do the dishes wearing it (not recommended!).
Ah fantastic! Thanks for posting, very cool
now I just have to find that bracelet...or a nice nato...
I´m good with 1968 Oceanographer "B", good find watch and ad too
Ditto what Bobbee and Jabs said.
Hello KWalls, welcome to myBulova - it's a fine old watch you have, I worn one like it for years.
1968 Oceanographer B it is, well done.
Thank you very much!
Fantastic watch KWalls! I'd be proud to wear such a nice example. You mentioned a loose movement? Is this still present? From the pic it appears there's a movement ring, am I correct others? Is the # stamped on the inside caseback 2892? Let me know what that number is and I can check the case parts catalog to see if/what movement ring is supposed to be present. Or, it can be a loose rotor?
Eric
thanks! Is really a great watch and I'm desperate to get it in tip top shape. The case is stamped 2892, has a movement retainer ring. It would appear to be missing the caseback "wavy" retainer ring. I have seen this piece in pictures and have been scouring the net for it without any luck. Any help/info such as part names or numbers would be FANTASTIC!
