Here is my Snorkel 666, I believe is a "G" model, had if for a few years. I love the size and shape. Works very well, the year of manufacturing (back case) is 1968 (M8), the caliber' date is actually a 1964.
What if wanted to look for a crystal (slightly scratched, not much really), is there a part number for it that I can look for ? Or should I use the case number "714" ?
Nice looking Oceanographer 'G'.
Movement may be a non-original swap, or perhaps someone just used an Oscillating Weight from an earlier movement.
Here is a list of some Oceanographer models and the applicable case info:

thank you very much for the reply and the precious info, confirming the Snorkel "G" model. Could you please change the title of the post to "Snorkel G" as I had not specified it when I wrote the post ? Why would you say that someone "used an Oscillating Weight from an earlier movement" ?
Looks like an original complete 11ALACD movement so I wonder why ?
thanks again - regards
Roby

You're welcome.
This 1968 watch likely was never sold with a 1964 movement; so two options to consider (since who really knows the 50+ year history), is that the entire movement is from '64 and replaced the original, or the weight from the original went bad and a watchmaker had one on hand to replace it with - only it was dated M4 (this has happened to me, needed a new weight, but couldn't find one with datestamp that matched the original).

Thanks Geoff, clear. Could you please fix the name of the watch in the post therefore ?
thanks again for the interesting info

Oceanographers are popping up all over now. Very nice example of a 1968 Oceanographer "G". You can polish the crystal. Buy Polywatch and follow the instructions, Works great.

Hi and thanks for the advice on the glass, I will do that, it is a slight scratch, a little visible.
Question : why is this model called an Oceanographer, when on the dial, like many others, only says "Snorkel" ?... I see also on the models list on the web site that the Snorkel has a name on its own ?
thanks again - Roby
1968 Bulova Oceanographer "G", with possible movement or weight swap.
Fear not, title will be updated when a sufficient majority of panel members weigh in.
Roby, whilst the dial has SNORKEL it is actually part of the Oceanographer model series as seen here from Bulova's official linebook.
