What a lovely little watch, well done Stephen. Is the bale connected to just one side of the stem?

BTW - Auburn Indiana is home to one fo the most amazing automobile museums in the US. The Auburn-Cord-Dusenberg automobile company was located in Auburn, the Museum still is. I've been there, it's worth the trip.

I didn't notice that before. It connected to both sides, but they look like they are different thicknesses. I'll have to double check when I get home to see if this is the case or if it's just a play on the eye with the angle of the bale.

I was trying to research Auburn, Indiana for old jewelry stores, but all I ever got back was hits on the Auburn automobile. I'd love to find an old photo of the jeweler for Little's. I'm off to check some vintage newspapers to see if I can find any old adverts.

What I like about the case is the lack of the usual text. This one is simple, with the logo printed onto the silk and BULOVA stitched into the lower cushion.
