BULOVA 1915 RUBAIYAT.
Its the first time i see a 9-3/4 ligne.
hope its authentic !
So this is a great data point in looking at how we determine these early watches and their year of manufacture.
With 'Rubaiyat' being noted as first used in 1916, it does now seem the 25xxxxx notion equating to 1915 needs to be revisited as does the year of my 1915 American Maid watch (2522892).
The subject watch is also very simialr to my 1917 Red 12 Rubaiyat. I'm sure I'm seeing a red 12 on this watch too. That one has a case serial number os 2723094.
The lingue for all these is indeed 9 3/4, but this is certainly the first I've seen with the linge stamped on the case back.
Perhaps we need to date both these 25xxxxx watches as 1916.

It's still a mystery. The American Maid may also end up being 1916, but with the enamel dial and Maxim movement I do think it predates the Rubaiyat series. The cases may have been made around the same time to be sold to other watch manufactures of the time. Yours and my American Maid could have just been assembled and sold at slightly different times.
