Watch Description

I don't see a model like this in the database.  Going through the loose ads I did find Jim found an ad in 2019 for the 1946 "American Clipper".  It's 17 Jewel like this model.

This is one of those watches I feel like I've seen a million times but then can never find another example.

My vote is Pacemaker, by date. I believe, based on the 1948 ad showing the "nubs" on lugs just like War Hawk that this is a watch that was renamed after the end of WWII. In 1946 it was War Hawk, and renamed Pacemaker in 1947 or '48. Just my 2 cents worth.

On the Pacemaker advert, I'm not sure I'm seeing the lugs come over the bezel like we see on the subject watch and War Hawk advert.

If you look at the top 1948 ad closely. the nubs show on the top two lugs, as they do in the 1946 War Hawk ad referenced in that  listing. The second ad above doesn't appear to show them. It almost  looks like that ad is the same drawing as the '46 WHawk touched up.
