Welcome and thanks for sharing. This watch was a bit of a challenge, no ads on site and we don't have accurate factory info by year as far back as 1945.
I got lucky! We have a Bulova Linebook dated 1957 that has a mish-mosh of earlier models included.

I think in 1945 this model would be the Rona "C" or "D". Looks like it was the "C" with the corded band and "D" with a snake bracelet, both yellow rolled gold plate. The "A" was a plain yellow gold plate case and the "B" was a plain rose gold plate case. I am going to see if I can find a couple of ads for it.

Wow, well found, Kathy. I will agree. Some time after 1946, the name changed from Rona to Starlet. Based on date of subject watch, it's an ad match Rona.
Based on the difference between "C" and "D" being band material; I would venture to call this one based on presentation on metal band as 1945 Rona "D".
