Calling this one a 1928 Rona.
The 6AF moment is 15 jewels, consistent with others in the database, It has a crescent moon date code. It runs and keeps time.
The case is Bulova New York, 14 K rolled white gold, with a 1924 patent date. Its apparently a 1928 serial number.
I did replace the dial on this. Its from another identical watch (apparent Rona) that didn't have a case back but the movement also had the crescent moon so it apparently was also a 1928. Its kind of funny because a quick search shows that we don't seem to have a 1928 in the database but I somehow found two. :)
Looks like a match. Well done.
1928 Rona works for me.
Very nice and that looks like a match to me. This style seems very classic to me for the time. The watch that started my collection was my grandmother's and is very similar.
1928 Bulova Rona
Always nice to see a watch that actually is a match for an advert....makes the job of IDing that much easier.
1928 Bulova Rona.
Oh and did you notice the SISTEEN 15 JEWELS marking on the movement.....never seen that before!!

I didn't notice that, isn't that interesting? I wonder how many are out there with close movement s/n's that are mis-stamped the same.

I didn't notice this. I've still got the movement that I got the dial from. I should check it.
