Appears to be a 1928 Bulova 'Rona'. Case is in excellent condition with its original crown. Hands & dial appear to be original as well. Needs a new crystal & the dial needs some cleaning but it winds, sets & runs. The markings inside the case are: BULOVA QUALITY - PAT. JUN. 10 1924 - 6216079 (NB the first digit is a guess as it looks like a C)
Dear Silvercloud, your watch is the Rona. If the first digit is like a C it almost certain is a 0 placing the watch in 1930. This is in line with the case signature you describe and also the dial that has the small numbers introduced that year. The movement would then be a replacement. It would be great if you could place a picture.
1928 Bulova Rona
1928 Bulova Rona seems to be a good match. I suspect the 6 in the serial number is actually an 8.
It can't be 1928, since the "Bulova Quality" signature was only introduced in 1929 on rolled gold plate cases as from serial 926. Before that it had the regular Bulova, New York case signature.
Silvercloud, can you please post a close up of the case serial number to help us determine if it is a 6,8 or 0
If it looks like a "C' I'd tend to agree with Alex and say it's 1930.
I await s/n and case stamp confirmation for date, but it is surely a
Rona
I just got one of these recently and it is a lovely model. Really pretty engraving one it.
1930 (pending serial # confirmation) Bulova Rona
1928 Bulova Rona is my vote too
Hi
I believe you may be right . The first digit looks like a capital C but is most likely a 0, making the watch a 1930 model.
thanks
Thanks for confirmation
1930 Rona it is
