Hi to everyone out there in Bulova Land.

Does anyone think that it would be good to put the size of the watch down when posting a watch photo?  i.e.  from lug to lug   -  across the top including and excluding crown  -  maybe crystal size??

For me - i think it would be handy in identification of certain if not many fine Bulova watches. 

Is there a record of Bulova watch sizes?

Hi everyone

I am a newby  to Bulova watches, but learning fast.   Have already bought several watches and added one watch (1926 unknown womens watch) to the Updated Watches and will post others when I can.   

Where have I been - These watches are beautiful and beautifully made.

My Question today is -

Are there a lot of Bulova watches with plastic (arylic) crystals or are these just replacements for the original glass?   Can you still get glass crystals for the older watches?

Need help with a wavy crystal Bulova with 8AE mvmt

I just acquired this Bulova a week ago and can't find anything about it except it may be from between 1940-1946. The dial looks like it is copper, and adorned with red and clear jewels (not tested), The crystal is wavy, it raises in the center and dips at the ends where the lugs are. Stainless back, case marked Rex W.C. Co. Movement is marked 17 jewels, Bulova Watch Co., and 8AE.

Hinged Case - 14kt white gold filled   Marked Bulova on the inside  15X24mm  excluding crown.   Lug end to lug end 28mm.    Movement - 15 jewel swiss.   Sapphire in crown.  

Do not know name of this watch nor the exact date  - possibly Barroness or Vivien and possibly 1926 -  if someone can help.  It has a Flip top case.

BULOVA L1 Then if you flip the watch over…. Upside down 3600946 (serial number???) The measurements are : 23mm x 23mm (tight)  Needs new Crystal.. It had a crystal that had 4 beveled quadrants that came to a point in the center, just like the model "The President". See seperate photo.

I have a ladies diamond bolva watch, The only thing on the watch is on the back 14k , Bolova and a number of 023927

I have opened it up and here is everything is has 23JLS , Bolova, 5AD, USA, L, MO

Then on the inside of the back was marked with black ink 1-R4265

On the face of the watch is has: Bolova 23

It has a square face with 6 sm diamonds 3 on each side

The 12, 3, 6 and 9 are silver dots (raised)

Can anyone tell me the name of the watch and the year.
