I have a watch that was in Grandma's jewelry box. "Bulova" is on the watch face and is also engraved on the back of the case. The serial number on the back of the case is G038115. I cannot find any reference to any Bulova serial number beginning with "G".
The watch is from 1927, it's 14K solid gold and is in a sense one-of-a-kind. It also holds some very historic significance....what is it?
Let's hear your thoughts and see who is right when the true story of this watch is revealed in 2 weeks time.
This is one historic Bulova watch.
..no clues from you Mr Will Smith :-)
Dial text: Bulova Waterproof Swiss Made Caseback: Raised picture (logo) with words "Bulova Waterproof"
Anyone know what model this watch is? http://www.mybulova.com/watches/1940-unknown-490
14K rose-gold filled with coppertone face and blue hands. Untouched since the 1940's.....until now, that is :)
scarce silvered dial, needs a crystal and correct crown, does show some case wear to back. I discovered when looking for movement symbol==(the triangle being faintly stamped)== the letters CAL(Charles A. Lindbergh) at the apex of the screw hole, very tiny, stamped. Extremely hard to photograph, but a photo is shown here. Has anyone ever seen/noticed this on their early Lone Eagle movement? Could this be a distinguishing identification for the earliest of the watches distributed?
Purchased from ebay because it was pretty. The crystal fell out of it after about a week. And have not been able to locate a replacement.
From what I've read and learned there hasn't been any maintenance performed and it still keeps time really well as long as you wind it everyday. I believe that means the spring has been over wound but I could be easily mistaken.
The watch was purchased as New Old Stock. 3 Diamond dial
