Shawn - here's my theory - view the second to the last ad on page 9 - it displays the Jet Star COLLECTION - then goes on to give each of the three watches pictured a model number - Bulova always had model numbers but beginning around 1925 they also gave watches proper names. Around 1970 - ish Bulova stopped handing out names (wasn't this about the time we think they moved locations and destroyed all their historical records - the one we so covet?). Now all but a select few watches are known by their numbers. Exceptions seem to be President, Senator and Oceanographer / Snorkel and a couple others. The watch I have posted http://www.mybulova.com/watches/1973-president-1816 has a hang tag identifying it as BOTH a President A and a model 11002. It would be appropriate to log that, (and I think this) watch as a model 11002, but knowing that Bulova also called it "President A" makes the name better suited.

View some of the watches of the 40's and 50's that have hang tags (even if we suspect they don't belong to the watch they're associated with) we see names AND model numbers but knowing the name - we will always use that first.

I could give this 3 stars as a President A OR  model 11002, but not as the Collection name "Jet Star"
