Bulova Accutron; CZ; N9; Base Metal Bezel
On the Face -Bulova Accutron; Swiss 6948
Hi Vickieboechler, welcome to mybulova. Nice watch. I was unable to come up with an ID after searching our ads database.
It's a base metal bezel w/gold plated back and I suspect the "CZ" on caseback may be an abbreviation for cubic zirconia. Most similar watches from the 70's in the database are solid gold with real diamonds, so this one is a bit of a mystery for me. A photo of the movement and inside of the caseback would be helpful.
Based on the date of 1979, it's possible it never had a model name.
Unknown for me at this point, or generic 1979 Bulova Accutron.
Beautiful watch!
1979 Accutron Mini should be the ID

Thank you for noticing that! How do I change it to read what you suggested?
Welcome to myBulova Vickieboechler! Your watch is from the After Six Collection. Not an inexpensive watch at $500, that would be around $1750 today. The ad is from 1979.

I copied the ad:) How do I fix my initial submission with the new information?
Thanks to all of you and Kathy for finding the evidence:)

Once all the panel members have had a chance to comment an admin will give your watch an ID. It might take a few more days : )
Nice advert find Kathy!
So model is Accutron Quartz, variant is the 'After Six'.
$500 wow, looks like CZs were most expensive than diamonds!!!
Well done, Kathy!
1979 Accutron Quartz "After Six" (tentative "B") works for me.
If the "left to right" in photo of models corresponds to "A,B and C" in the text (notably darker model face on right would = "C", Champagne dial), the subject watch would logically be a "B" if we want to make that leap.
