Watch Description

NIcely running ladies Accutron watch. 1973 vintage 10K RGP, running but gains about 10 min per 24 hr. . Need to have it cleaned, some wear on the back of the band to the gold plate. Cannot find an advert, would like to know the model name.

Picked this little beauty up for a song at Goodwill, popped in a new battery and it started right up.

It doesn't appear that we have a name on this one."Accutron" for me. Nice find.

Are you sure you have the proper battery in this?...10 seconds in 24 hours is a extreme time gain for a Accutron, 10 minutes is criminal...

Unknown Ladies Accutron for now.

All the recommendations I have been given suggest this battery type.
I have been advised that it needs to be serviced. This should solve the issue.

Yes, It does need to be serviced, and until you have it serviced, I would pull the battery, it might cause major damage to the coil which can get spendy to repair.

'MINI ACCUTRON'

Unknown variant

as per the 1972 ads.

I'd also go with a tentative "Mini Accutron"

Can anyone who has a 70s crystal catalog check to see if there is a name against the crystal ID for this watch which is 1279-2.

Case dimensions would help.

Here's a few of the "Mini" ads from the Accutron Ads  thread.   The Accutron Ads thread is not pinned to the Information Sharing forum, so it disappears out of recent view.

From a 1972 Catalog:

I
'm good with tentative "Mini Accutron".

I ran OCR software on each of my crystal catalog PDF's, then combined them into one big PDF.  I can search for strings which were "read" during the OCR.  I'll see if "1279-2" comes up in a search.

Look at those prices. $225 for 14K solid gold. would be nice to find some at that price nowadays.
