How where you able to determine the 1970 date?

i cant i was just told that when it was purchased
For eastern Canadian market most likely.
i have managed to take a better picture what intrigues me is the number cannot find it
I cannot seem to find a match to this one. I am also not so sure about the date. I do believe it is an international model. I would call this a Bulova Accutron Quartz Date & Day. Not sure of the date.

Is it possible to have the case back removed? There should be a date code either inside the back or on the movement. My guess puts this watch in the late 1970's.
