I'm certain that this watch pre-dates the release of the LE series III.

I'd say they took this model, added the top and bottom case markings and released it as the new LE. This style of stepped case must have been very popular when released, as we see a number of later models sporting the stepped design in the early to mid 30s.

Beautiful watch and I love the ladder bracelet. Looking for one myself. It sure looks like a LE III.

Big gap in case SN date. Not 1926,so 1936? If so, the LE case had changed to same as subject watch by 1934, in the ads.

E gads....Great new ads!!  So subject watch case SN suggests 1936?  10AN omega w/ serial number 1930?  Case looks like ad.  Jewels 17 in Geoff's, 15 in ad.

I thinks we got the case nailed down though!

Sounds like a replacement movement to me, Will.

Any bites here?

Seems to me like folks on this site have a problem with the ads I posted from Watchophilia, as only two people seem to be responding to them, Will and Stephen.

I am not going to post any more of these ads that Lisa finds if it makes you all so uncomfortable.

Bobbee  Give it a couple days and lets see if some of these records can get pinned to the red zone for ID review.  There's lots of new ID's and other stuff which disappears out of view in recent comments queue before folks see them.   I'm not uncomfortable, just busy...and the darned records are rolling by the recent comments queue quickly :)
