This is a pretty nice 1950 natural gold case'd watch. Runs well. We still haven't come up with a name for this guy yet. All I can figure out is it's the unengraved Standish. Now... does that make it a Standish variant... who knows. There's no info out there as of yet. Unfortunately the one bad thing about having a pile of light is that it over accentuates any brassing. This actually isn't isn't even close to what the pictures show and you can barely see it in normal wear.

IMO the subject us a better match to the 'STANTON'
Fifth, I was actually pointing out the the subect watch isn't the Standish as per the linebook. Seems my comment came across as the opposite of that.
I 100% agree the Stanton looks to be a better match, but wonder if I'm seeing an engraved bezel in the linebook?

I'm not sure either Stephen but there is no mention of an engraved bezel in the description.
