33 vintage Bulova movements (some are oldies) for $42
300 Bulova crystals for $50
Cant Waite till they get here.
Pleeeease tell me someone here just got the Buckingham case that just closed on the BAY..
This is from the December 1971 Popular Science magazine, which was as reputable a source of accurate information then as the National Enquirer is today! ...and Bulova was listed as being one of the four most-often faked watch brands.
Five of the ten watches at the top left side are fakes. See if you can spot them.

I am seeking advice regarding the potential purchase of a watch listed as the above. My concern is that it has an 8AC movement and I do not see it listed in the records as a movement used in an Acadamy Award. Can any one confirm or otherwise if it was ever used in this watch. Thanks in advance.

Arde Bolova, 60 year old bachelor-watch manufacturer-millionaire, reputedly one of the wealthiest men in the U.S., is likewise one of the least well known, as a person, to the public. One oft-repeated story about Bulova is undoubtedly apocryphal. It has him going into a Fifth Avenue Hotel in New York, trying to get a room and, when unable to, buying the hotel instead.
