unusual looking watch - gold base metal case with stainless back. 36mm case (not including crown) and 40mm lug to lug. any info?
I think that watch is Jet Star like "C" from this advert
I agree that this is a Jet Star but not a "C". It's just watch C in the advert (Golden hued case and expansion band with champagne dial)

This ad clearly shows the exact case style and also notes goldtone case and gold dial . This is unlike the previous ad which states a champagne dial and the case just looks a little squattier . The ad lists it as a Jetstar B.

The "C" is a catalog number, not Bulova designation.
