Sorry for lack of information, this was my dads watch that mum bought him in 1972 and thats the sum of my knowledge. It is an automatic watch. On the back it says : Bulova 3-424376 N2 Stanless Steel = thanks for your help
Welcome to myBulova Ian. I think you are very fortunate to have your fathers watch. I'm a big fan of heirloom watches. I have several of my fathers watches and treasure them highly. If you plan to wear and use this watch I recommend having it serviced before you do, to make sure it runs for another generation.
I'm not sure if we have an advert that show this exact watch but I'm pretty sure it's a Jet Star model.

1972 Bulova Jet Star looks to be correct.

Yep I agree w/ ID call
Ditto
The Jet Star ad states colored dials as a feature of this line; this watch has a basic silver dial common on many other models and although it resembles watch B in the ad, it is not the same. I don't feel this watch is a Jet Star model; and I am unable to find another ad to identify it - I am at Unknown.

Text for the "B" does say silver dial. I'm still at tentative for Jet Star.

It clearly does, thanks Will; I should review these when I am more alert! I'm still not sure about the Jet Star id, I could go tentative.
Jet Star for me
