This one had me stumped for a bit. I was thinking the dial was black but after review under a bright light the dial is a dark blue. Then I found the match in the 1973 Linebook. This is a first example in MyBulova of this variant. 1971 Bulova Sea King GR. The case is stainless steel with a BLUE quadrant dial with Black edged white hour markers and white hands. Both the case and 11AN 17J movement have an N1 date code. The linebook listing says White/Yellow so I am assuming this means the blue dial was offered in both case colors rather than a two tone bracelet. Not sure what happened to the dial but I think the dail fade is awesome.

The 71 Accutron Date & Day "BD" is also listed as having a blue dial, yet appears very similar to this watches color, mat black. I think these dials are paper based, or something very similaer anf often flake, using pieces of the dial print. Even the 1970 Bulova Chrono C has a simialr printed paper/decal dial print.
Sure is a match for a 1971 Bulova Sea King "GR" as per the linebook.
