recently serviced 1965 space view swiss case 316-1 stainless model that somewhere along the way a USA movement was added, nos kreisler band that was available on some bulova mechanical watches, re phased for 1.55v battery recommended silver oxide type
I can see some cat hair on the outside of the crystal so will try more pictures later
As presented I would ID as another Bulova Accutron Spaceview "G"
In reply to As presented I would ID as… by mybulova_admin
the LARGE M5 lettering and case numbers on the back and slightly larger case than a G denotes it a 316 swiss case
USA cases have much smaller letters and numbers on the case back plus they are slightly smaller diameter at just under 1 mm smaller and I have several factory G cases to compare it to so this is a 316-1 case, - 1 denoting stainless steel
you are entitled to your opinion but you are incorrect
thanks for your input
There are a number of true US made Spaceviews in this case style:
- G - Stainless Steel
- I - 10K yellow gold filled on aligator strap
- H - 10K yellow gold filled on yellow+stainless steel back bracelet
- S - 10K yellow gold filled on yellow 10K gold filled bracelet
Perhaps your watch is a Swiss Bulova Accutron Spaceview #21253, which looks to match the crystal 3, 6 an 9 indicies. The #21253 s listed as stainless steel.
Is the crsystal a replacement?
Here's the Swiss version #21253

Spaceview, no variant
it is a 316-1 swiss case
